To give\pay back
If I borrow a book from the library, I need to return it. If I took out a loan from the bank, I need to return the money.
אִם הִשְׁאַלְתִּי סֵפֶר מֵהַסִּפְרִיָּה אֲנִי צְרִיכָה לְהַחֲזִיר אוֹתוֹ.
אִם לָקַחְתִּי הַלְוָאָה מֵהַבַּנְק אֲנִי צְרִיכָה לְהַחֲזִיר אֶת הַכֶּסֶף.
If I booked a flight ticket, it's worth checking if the airline promises to refund the money in case the flight is canceled.
אִם הִזְמַנְתִּי כַּרְטִיס טִיסָה, כְּדַאי לִבְדּוֹק הַאִם חֶבְרַת הַתְּעוּפָה מַבְטִיחָה לְהַחֲזִיר אֶת הַכֶּסֶף בְּמִקְרֶה שֶׁהַטִּיסָה תְּבוּטַּל.
In Hebrew, we have the phrase "to turn back the wheel." If someone regrets something they did, they say: "I wish I could turn back the wheel."
יֵשׁ לָנוּ בְּעִבְרִית אֶת הַבִּיטּוּי "לְהַחֲזִיר אֶת הַגַּלְגַּל לְאָחוֹר". אִם יֵשׁ מִישֶׁהוּ שֶׁמִּתְחָרֵט עַל מַשֶּׁהוּ שֶׁהוּא עָשָׂה הוּא אוֹמֵר: "הָיִיתִי רוֹצֶה לְהַחֲזִיר אֶת הַגַּלְגַּל לְאָחוֹר".
However, there are things that cannot be returned: It is impossible to return trust that has been broken, it is impossible to bring the dead back to life, and it is impossible to turn back time.
אֲבָל יֵשׁ דְּבָרִים שֶׁאִי אֶפְשָׁר לְהַחֲזִיר:
אִי אֶפְשָׁר לְהַחֲזִיר אֵמוּן שֶׁנִּשְׁבַּר,
אִי אֶפְשָׁר לְהַחֲזִיר אֶת הַמֵּת לָחַיִּים,
וְאִי אֶפְשָׁר לְהַחֲזִיר אֶת הַזְּמַן לְאָחוֹר.
Here are some sentences with the verb "to return":
הִנֵּה כַּמָּה מִשְׁפָּטִים עִם שֵׁם הַפֹּעַל לְהַחֲזִיר:
1. To regain the trust of the customers, the company invested great efforts in improving the service and promised a quick resolution to problems.

3. During the meeting, the manager asked the team to refocus their attention on the central topic.
