Each pot has its cover
I'm sure that if I go to your kitchen, I can find several pots and for each pot I will find its cover. That is, the cover that belongs to that pot and "fits" it exactly.
אֲנִי בְּטוּחָה שֶׁאִם אֵלֵךְ לַמִּטְבָּח שֶׁלָּכֶם, אוּכַל לִמְצוֹא כַּמָּה סִירִים וּלְכָל סִיר אֶמְצָא אֶת הַמִּכְסֶה שֶׁלּוֹ. כְּלוֹמַר הַמִּכְסֶה שֶׁשַּׁיָּךְ לְאוֹתוֹ סִיר וּ"מִתְלַבֵּשׁ" עָלָיו בְּצוּרָה מְדוּיֶּקֶת.
We use this expression in the field of relationships. When we say "every pot has a cover" we mean that each person has the right partner for them.
אֲנַחְנוּ מִשְׁתַּמְּשִׁים בַּבִּיטּוּי הַזֶּה בִּתְחוּם הַזּוּגִיּוּת. כְּשֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ אוֹמְרִים "לְכָל סִיר יֵשׁ מִכְסֶה" אֲנַחְנוּ מִתְכַּוְּנִים שֶׁלְּכָל אָדָם יֵשׁ אֶת בֵּן הַזּוּג הַמַּתְאִים לוֹ.
Nowadays, with the high divorce rate, the situation is a little more difficult, because there are those who have seemingly found their "cover" but sometimes go and look for other "covers"....
בְּיָמֵינוּ, עִם אֲחוּז הַגֵּרוּשִׁין הַגָּבוֹהַּ הַמַּצָּב קְצָת יוֹתֵר קָשֶׁה, כִּי יֵשׁ כָּאֵלֶּה שֶׁלִּכְאוֹרָה מָצְאוּ אֶת "הַמִּכְסֶה" שֶׁלָּהֶם אֲבָל לִפְעָמִים הוֹלְכִים וּמְחַפְּשִׂים "מִכְסִים" אֲחֵרִים....
