Sunset

One of the words in the basket of words for parts of the day is "sunrise," so "sunset" is exactly the opposite. And if we said the opposite, and we said the sun rises in the east, then it sets in the west.

אַחַת מִן הַמִּילִּים בְּסַל הַמִּילִּים שֶׁל חֶלְקֵי הַיּוֹם הִיא: זְרִיחָה, אָז שְׁקִיעָה זֶה בְּדִיּוּק הַהֵפֶךְ. וְאִם אָמַרְנוּ הַהֵיפֶךְ, וְאָמַרְנוּ שֶׁהַשֶּׁמֶשׁ זוֹרַחַת בַּמִּזְרָח, אָז הִיא שׁוֹקַעַת בַּמַּעֲרָב.
