Socks are a common item of clothing that keeps our feet warm, and there are socks in millions of colors and patterns.
הַגַּרְבַּיִם הֵן פְּרִיט לְבוּשׁ חָרְפִּי שֶׁמְּחַמֵּם לָנוּ אֶת הָרַגְלַיִם וְיֵשׁ גַּרְבַּיִם בְּמִלְיוֹנֵי צְבָעִים וְדוּגְמָאוֹת.
The root of the word socks is ג.ר.ב and the verb that means to put socks on the feet is לִגְרוֹב.
שׁוֹרֶשׁ הַמִּילָּה גַּרְבַּיִם הוּא ג.ר.ב וְהַפֹּעַל שֶׁמַּשְׁמָעוּתוֹ לָשִׂים גַּרְבַּיִם עַל הָרַגְלַיִם הוּא לִגְרוֹב.
