Hail
The seventh plague that God brought upon Egypt was the plague of hail:
הַמַּכָּה הַשְּׁבִיעִית שֶׁהִנְחִית אֱלֹהִים עַל מִצְרַיִם הַיְתָה – מַכַּת הַבָּרָד:
"And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
" וַיֵּט מֹשֶׁה אֶת-מַטֵּהוּ, עַל-הַשָּׁמַיִם, וַיהוָה נָתַן קֹלֹת וּבָרָד, וַתִּהֲלַךְ אֵשׁ אָרְצָה; וַיַּמְטֵר יְהוָה בָּרָד, עַל-אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם.
And there was hail, and fire ignites with the hail: very grievous, such as was not in all the land of Egypt since the day It became a nation. (Numbers 9:23-24)
וַיְהִי בָרָד--וְאֵשׁ, מִתְלַקַּחַת בְּתוֹךְ הַבָּרָד: כָּבֵד מְאֹד--אֲשֶׁר לֹא-הָיָה כָמֹהוּ בְּכָל-אֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם, מֵאָז הָיְתָה לְגוֹי" (שְמוֺת ט' כג-כד)
In Israel we are enthusiastic from hail, and when the hail begins, we go outside to feel it, because it gives us a sense of snow, which we do not have much here.
בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל אֲנַחְנוּ מִתְלַהֲבִים מִן הַבָּרָד, וּכְשֶׁמַּתְחִיל הַבָּרָד אֲנַחְנוּ יוֹצְאִים הַחוּצָה כְּדֵי לְהַרְגִּישׁ אוֹתוֹ, וְכָל זֶה בִּגְלַל שֶׁזֶּה נוֹתֵן לָנוּ תְּחוּשָׁה שֶׁל שֶׁלֶג שֶׁאֵין לָנוּ מִמֶּנּוֹ הַרְבֵּה בָּאָרֶץ.

3. On a hot summer day, it is such fun to drink cold grape-flavored hail.
3. בְּיוֹם קַיִץ חַם, הֲכִי כֵּיף לִשְׁתּוֹת בָּרָד קַר בְּטַעַם עֲנָבִים.
4. The hailstones that fell yesterday were the size of ping-pong balls.
4. כַּדּוּרֵי הַבָּרָד שֶׁיָּרַד אֶתְמוֹל הָיוּ בְּגוֹדֶל שֶׁל כַּדּוּרֵי פִּינְג פּוֹנְג.
