Sweat
Sweat is a substance secreted by glands in the body and actually does us good — it helps cool us down.
הַזֵּיעָה הִיא חוֹמֶר שֶׁמּוּפְרָשׁ מִבַּלּוּטוֹת הַגּוּף וְעו ֹשֶׂה לָנוּ טוֹב. הִיא מְקָרֶרֶת לָנוּ אֶת הַגּוּף.
When someone engages in physical activity and exerts themselves, we can often see sweat on their body and face. The physical activity heats up the body, and sweating helps it cool off.
אִם מִישֶׁהוּ עוֹשֶׂה פְּעִילוּת גּוּפָנִית וּמִתְאַמֵּץ אֲנַחְנוּ יְכוֹלִים לִרְאוֹת עַל גּוּפוֹ וְעַל פָּנָיו זֵיעָה. הַפְּעִילוּת הַגּוּפָנִית מְחַמֶּמֶת אֶת הַגּוּף וְהַזֵּיעָה עוֹזֶרֶת לַגּוּף לְהִתְקָרֵר.
People may also sweat when experiencing stress, anxiety, tension, or fear. Our nervous system controls the sweat response, and in some individuals, it’s activated even when they’re simply nervous or scared.
אֲנַחְנוּ יְכוֹלִים לִרְאוֹת זֵיעָה גַּם כְּשֶׁאֲנָשִׁים נִמְצָאִים בְּמַצָּב שֶׁל לַחַץ אוֹ חֲרָדָה, מֶתַח אוֹ פַּחַד. מַעֲרֶכֶת הָעֲצַבִּים שֶׁלָּנוּ שׁוֹלֶטֶת בַּזֵּיעָה וְיֵשׁ אֲנָשִׁים שֶׁהִיא מוּפְעֶלֶת אֶצְלָם גַּם כְּשֶׁהֵם לְחוּצִים אוֹ פּוֹחֲדִים.
According to the punishment given to Adam when he was banished from the Garden of Eden: “By the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread” — meaning that one must work hard to earn their food. This expression appears in the Book of Genesis, and we still use it today.
הָעוֹנֶשׁ שֶׁקִּיבֵּל אָדָם מֶאֱלוֹהִים כְּשֶׁגּוֹרַשׁ מִגַּן הָעֵדֶן: "בְּזֵיעַת אַפֶּיךָ תֹּאכַל לֶחֶם" – כְּלוֹמַר תִּצְטָרֵךְ לַעֲבוֹד קָשֶׁה מְאוֹד כְּדֵי לְהַרְוִיחַ אֶת הָאוֹכֶל שֶׁלְךָ. הַבִּיטּוּי הַזֶּה הוּא מִסֶפֶר בְּרֵאשִׁית, אֲבָל אֲנַחְנוּ מִשְׁתַּמְּשִׁים בּוֹ עַד הַיּוֹם.

1. After a long run, he wiped the sweat from his forehead and drank cold water to refresh himself.

3. After shower, I always use deodorant to prevent unpleasant sweat odor.
3. אַחֲרֵי הַמִּקְלַחַת אֲנִי תָּמִיד מִשְׁתַּמֶּשֶׁת בְּדֵאוֹדוֹרַנְט כְּדֵי לִמְנוֹעַ רֵיחַ לֹא נ ָעִים מֵהַזֵּיעָה.
4. At the dance party, everyone danced enthusiastically, and their clothes were soaked with sweat.
4. בִּמְסִיבַּת רִיקּוּדִים, כּוּלָּם רָקְדוּ בְּהִתְלַהֲבוּת, וְהַבְּגָדִים שֶׁלָּהֶם הָיוּ סְפוּגִים בְּזֵיעָה.
